Commutative Languages and their Composition by Consensual Methods [PDF]
Commutative languages with the semilinear property (SLIP) can be naturally recognized by real-time NLOG-SPACE multi-counter machines. We show that unions and concatenations of such languages can be similarly recognized, relying on -- and further developing, our recent results on the family of consensually regular (CREG) languages.

Free Composition Instead of Language Dictatorship [PDF]
Historically, programming languages have been—benevolent—dictators: reducing all possible semantics to specific ones offered by a few built-in language constructs. Over the years, some programming languages have freed the programmers from the restrictions to use only built-in libraries, built-in data types, and builtin type-checking rules.

Writing Composition Problem in Arabic Language Learning Among Arabic Language Education Students
Learning foreign languages, especially Arabic, is still an obstacle for non-Arabic speakers. Apart from the problem of grammatical gaps, and phonological differences between source and target languages, writing composition proficiency is also a problem ...

Ignore Previous Prompt: Attack Techniques For Language Models [PDF]
Transformer-based large language models (LLMs) provide a powerful foundation for natural language tasks in large-scale customer-facing applications. However, studies that explore their vulnerabilities emerging from malicious user interaction are scarce ...

Modular language composition for the masses [PDF]
The goal of modular language development is to enable the definition of new languages as assemblies of pre-existing ones. Recent approaches in this area are plentiful but usually suffer from two main problems: either they do not support modular language composition both at the specification and implementation levels, or they require advanced knowledge ...

TEACH: Temporal Action Composition for 3D Humans [PDF]
Given a series of natural language descriptions, our task is to generate 3D human motions that correspond semantically to the text, and follow the temporal order of the instructions.

What makes a language easy to deep-learn? Deep neural networks and humans similarly benefit from compositional structure [PDF]
Deep neural networks drive the success of natural language processing. A fundamental property of language is its compositional structure, allowing humans to systematically produce forms for new meanings. For humans, languages with more compositional and transparent structures are typically easier to learn than those with opaque and irregular structures.

Sentence Composition: Language Map of Beginner Writers
This research was initiated to study the pattern of sentences written by students who were considered as beginner in their writing work. The further aim upon the study was to see what majority of the group approaches in developing their sentences in ...

On the Evolution of Compositional Language
We present here a hierarchical model for the evolution of compositional language. The model has the structure of a two-sender/one-receiver Lewis signaling game augmented with executive agents who may learn to influence the behavior of the basic senders and receiver.
