Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

The Composition Operator on Mixed-Norm Lebesgue Spaces

open access: yes
It is known that the boundedness of the composition operator on Lebesgue spaces is equivalent to the integrability of the volume derivative of the measurable mapping inducing the given operator.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Differences of weighted composition operators

open access: yesCollectanea mathematica, 2009
Let \(\mathbb D\) be the open unit disk in the complex plane \(\mathbb C\), \(\varphi:{\mathbb D}\rightarrow {\mathbb D}\), \(\psi:{\mathbb D}\rightarrow {\mathbb C}\) be analytic functions. The weighted composition operator is acting on the functions defined on \(\mathbb D\) by the formula \[ (C_{\varphi,\psi}f)(z)=\psi(z)f(\varphi(z)), \quad z\in ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Topologizability and Related Properties of the Iterates of Composition Operators in Gelfand-Shilov Classes

open access: yes
[EN] We analyse the behaviour of the iterates of composition operators defined by polynomials acting on global classes of ultradifferentiable functions of Beurling type which are invariant under the Fourier transform.

A Review on Classes of Composition Operators

open access: yesپژوهش‌های ریاضی, 2020
Introduction In 1976, A. Lambert characterized subnormal weighted shifts. Then he studied hyponormal weighted composition operators on  in 1986 and in 1988 subnormal composition operators studied again by him. Recently, A. Lambert, et al., have published
