A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Expectation thinning operators based on linear fractional probability generating functions
We introduce a two-parameter expectation thinning operator based on a linear fractional probability generating function. The operator is then used to define a first-order integer-valued autoregressive \inar1 process.

Latin synthetic compounding and Distributed Morphology
The theory of Distributed Morphology (DM) has been applied to English synthetic compounds by Harley (2009), who proposes an analysis as incorporation structures. After a short introduction on the passage from lexicalism to DM in Latin morphology (par. 1), I will try to extend Haley’s analysis to Latin synthetic compounds, suggesting some revisions (par.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Inequalities for Multivariate Compound Poisson Distributions
Let \(\{Q_ t\); \(t\geq 0\}\) be a one-parameter Poisson family. Let \({\mathcal A}=\{A:\) \(A\subseteq \{1,2,...,n\}\}\), n positive integer, and t(A) be a number associated with \(A\in {\mathcal A}\). Let \(\{Z_ A:\) \(A\in {\mathcal A}\}\) be independent random variables with \(Z_ A\) distributed according to \(Q_{t(A)}\). Define \(x=(x_ 1,...,x_ n)\

Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
