Hall Effect and transient surface photovoltage (SPV) study of Cu3BiS3 thin films

open access: yesUniversitas Scientiarum, 2014
Here, we present the electrical properties of the compound Cu3BiS3 deposited by co-evaporation. This new compound may have the properties necessary to be used as an absorbent layer in solar cells.

Temperature-dependent ion mixing and diffusion during sputtering of thin films of CrSi_2 on silicon [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
Measurements of sputtering yields and composition profiles have been carried out using backscattering spectrometry for samples of CrSi_2 on Si irradiated with 200‐keV Xe ions.

Spin-singlet superconductivity with a full gap in locally non-centrosymmetric SrPtAs

open access: yes, 2014
We report $^{195}$Pt-NMR and $^{75}$As-NQR measurements for the locally non-centrosymmetric superconductor SrPtAs where the As-Pt layer breaks inversion symmetry while globally the compound is centrosymmetric.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Spin-Phonon Coupling in Iron Pnictide Superconductors

open access: yes, 2009
The magnetic moment in the parent phase of the iron-pnictide superconductors varies with composition even when the nominal charge of iron is unchanged.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Theory and observation of double discontinuities [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 2004
Recent research using high-resolution magnetic field data to examine the interior structures of MHD shocks in interplanetary space and in the magnetotail led to a surprising discovery that a slow-mode shock is often followed by an adjoining rotational ...

Atomic hydrogen storage method and apparatus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Atomic hydrogen, for use as a fuel or as an explosive, is stored in the presence of a strong magnetic field in exfoliated layered compounds such as molybdenum disulfide or an elemental layer material such as graphite.

On the Coexistence in RuSr2GdCu2O8 of Superconductivity and Ferromagnetism

open access: yes, 1999
We review the reasons that make superconductivity unlikely to arise in a ferromagnet. Then, in light of the report by Tallon and collaborators that RuSr2GdCu2O8 becomes superconducting at approximately 35 K which is well below the Curie temperature of ...
