Elinvar Materials: Recent Progress and Challenges
Elinvar materials, exhibiting temperature‐invariant elastic modulus, are critical for precision instruments and emerging technologies. This article reviews recent progress in the field, with a focus on the anomalous thermoelastic behavior observed in key material systems.

Spatial modelling of claim frequency and claim size in insurance [PDF]
In this paper models for claim frequency and claim size in non-life insurance are considered. Both covariates and spatial random e ects are included allowing the modelling of a spatial dependency pattern.

Optimal Maintenance Policy for a Compound Poisson Shock Model [PDF]
Engineered and infrastructure systems deteriorate (e.g., loss capacity) as a result of adverse environmental or external conditions. Modeling deterioration is essential to define optimum design strategies and inspection and maintenance (intervention) programs.

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

On the consistency of jump-diffusion dynamics for FX rates under inversion [PDF]
In this note we investigate the consistency under inversion of jump diffusion processes in the Foreign Exchange (FX) market. In other terms, if the EUR/USD FX rate follows a given type of dynamics, under which conditions will USD/EUR follow the same type

A compound Poisson risk model with proportional investment
This paper considers the compound Poisson risk model with a threshold dividend strategy and proportional investment. The goal here is to investigate the expected discounted dividend payments and the expected penalty-reward function. Integro-differential equations with certain boundary conditions are derived.

Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

On the Expected Discounted Penalty Function Using Physics-Informed Neural Network
We study the expected discounted penalty at ruin under a stochastic discount rate for the compound Poisson risk model with a threshold dividend strategy. The discount rate is modeled by a Poisson process and a standard Brownian motion.

Claims Reserving Using Tweedie's Compound Poisson Model [PDF]
We consider the problem of claims reserving and estimating run-off triangles. We generalize the gamma cell distributions model which leads to Tweedie's compound Poisson model.
