A comprehensive evaluation of pregnancy tests
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1969Nine pregnancy tests—two biologic and seven immunologic—were evaluated. The biologic procedures proved superior to the immunologic tests. Of the immunologic procedures evaluated, the tube tests were found to be superior to the slide tests. False-positive and false-negative results were more common in the immunologic than in the biologic tests.
