Comprehensive factorisation systems [PDF]

open access: yesTbilisi Mathematical Journal, 2017
We establish a correspondence between consistent comprehension schemes and complete orthogonal factorisation systems. The comprehensive factorisation of a functor between small categories arises in this way. Similar factorisation systems exist for the categories of topological spaces, simplicial sets, small multicategories and Feynman categories.

Comprehension by derivation [software system comprehension] [PDF]

open access: yes13th International Workshop on Program Comprehension (IWPC'05), 2005
We argue that to comprehend a software system is to have a handle on its requirements, specifications, and design decisions. These kinds of information support the reuse of system code for a variety of purposes and support its ongoing extension, migration, and evolution. Our work at Kestrel Institute has focused on ways to mechanize the development and

A Comprehensive Study of the L1551 IRS 5 Binary System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We model the Class I source L1551 IRS 5, adopting a flattened infalling envelope surrounding a binary disk system and a circumbinary disk. With our composite model, we calculate self-consistently the spectral energy distribution of each component of the ...
