Iterative Slepian-Wolf Decoding and FEC Decoding for Compress-and-Forward Systems [PDF]

open access: yes2012 IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Fall), 2012
While many studies have concentrated on providing theoretical analysis for the relay assisted compress-and-forward systems little effort has yet been made to the construction and evaluation of a practical system. In this paper a practical CF system incorporating an error-resilient multilevel Slepian-Wolf decoder is introduced and a novel iterative ...

Polar codes for compress-and-forward in binary relay channels [PDF]

open access: yes2010 Conference Record of the Forty Fourth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2010
We construct polar codes for binary relay channels with orthogonal receiver components. We show that polar codes achieve the cut-set bound when the channels are symmetric and the relay-destination link supports compress-and-forward relaying based on Slepian-Wolf coding.

Compress-and-Forward Cooperative MIMO Relaying With Full Channel State Information [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2010
This paper addresses cooperative time division duplex (TDD) relaying in the multiple-antenna case with full channel state information (CSI), i.e., assuming perfect knowledge of all channels. The main focus of the paper is on the compress-and-forward (CF) strategy, for which an achievable rate on the Gaussian MIMO relay channel can be derived by ...

A New Coding Paradigm for the Primitive Relay Channel

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2019
We consider the primitive relay channel, where the source sends a message to the relay and to the destination, and the relay helps the communication by transmitting an additional message to the destination via a separate channel.

Compress-And-Forward Cooperative Relaying in MIMO-OFDM Systems [PDF]

open access: yes2006 IEEE 7th Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications, 2006
In this paper, we investigate the capacity of compress-and-forward (C&F) cooperative relaying scheme when the C&F relay operates in time division duplex (TDD). In our evaluation we consider MIMO-OFDM transmission. An achievable rate was previously derived in (A. Host-Madsen et al., 2005) assuming scalar channel.

H2-ARQ-relaying: spectrum and energy efficiency perspectives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we propose novel Hybrid Automatic Repeat re-Quest (HARQ) strategies used in conjunction with hybrid relaying schemes, named as H2-ARQ-Relaying.

MLP and CNN-based Classification of Points of Interest in Side-channel Attacks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Networked and Distributed Computing (IJNDC), 2020
A trace contains sample points, some of which contain useful information that can be used to obtain a key in side-channel attacks. We used public datasets from the ANSSI SCA Database (ASCAD) as well as SM4 traces to learn whether a trace consisting of ...

Transmit Signal and Bandwidth Optimization in Multiple-Antenna Relay Channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Transmit signal and bandwidth optimization is considered in multiple-antenna relay channels. Assuming all terminals have channel state information, the cut-set capacity upper bound and decode-and-forward rate under full-duplex relaying are evaluated by ...
