Design of thermal energy storage unit for Compressed Air Energy Storage system
The aim of this paper is to present a new concept of a high-temperature thermal energy storage (TES) for the application in the compressed air energy storage (CAES) systems. The proposed storage unit combines the advantages of pressurized containers with

Liquid Metals as Initiators of Free‐Radical Polymerization of Hydrogels: A Perspective
Gallium‐based liquid metals initiate free radical polymerization to form hydrogels without the use of toxic molecular initiators. In addition to initiating polymerization, they can act as crosslinkers, yielding softer, more extensible, and tougher hydrogels than those formed with conventional initiators.

Economics of thermal energy storage for compressed air energy storage systems [PDF]
The costs of compressed air energy storage (CAES) systems utilizing thermal energy storage are compared with the costs of conventional CAES systems and combustion gas turbine systems. Comparisons are made on the basis of system energy cost levelized over system operating lifetime (mills/kWh). The comparison was performed by Pacific Northwest Laboratory
