Wear and Compressibility of Hybrid Composite Clutch

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2020
Clutch friction plate is an important part in the transmission of power in all rotating parts. To have a good view of the way it works many studies that have been made .

How Compressible are Innovation Processes?

open access: yes, 2018
The sparsity and compressibility of finite-dimensional signals are of great interest in fields such as compressed sensing. The notion of compressibility is also extended to infinite sequences of i.i.d.

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Assessment of South Pars Gas Field Subsidence Due To Gas Withdrawal [PDF]

open access: yesCivil Engineering Infrastructures Journal, 2014
Withdrawal of oil and gas from reservoirs causes a decrease in pore pressure and an increase in effective stress which results to a reservoir compaction.

Turbulent shear-layer mixing: growth-rate compressibility scaling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A new shear-layer growth-rate compressibility-scaling parameter is proposed as an alternative to the total convective Mach number, Mc. This parameter derives from considerations of compressibility as a means of kinetic-to-thermal-energy conversion and ...

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

Negative Linear Compressibility

open access: yes, 2015
While all materials reduce their intrinsic volume under hydrostatic (uniform) compression, a select few actually \emph{expand} along one or more directions during this process of densification.

Simultaneous inhibition of TRIM24 and TRIM28 sensitises prostate cancer cells to antiandrogen therapy, decreasing VEGF signalling and angiogenesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TRIM24 and TRIM28 are androgen receptor (AR) coregulators which exhibit increased expression with cancer progression. Both TRIM24 and TRIM28 combine to influence the response of castrate‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) cells to AR inhibitors by mediating AR signalling, regulation of MYC and upregulating VEGF to promote angiogenesis. Castrate‐resistant

X-ray Reflectivity Study of Polylysine Adsorption on the Surface of DMPS Monolayers

open access: yesMembranes, 2022
The results of a systematic study on the adsorption of polylysine molecules of different lengths on the surface of a 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine (DMPS) monolayer in the liquid (LE) and condensed (LC) states are presented.

Incompressibility of polydisperse random close packed colloidal particles

open access: yes, 2011
We use confocal microscopy to study a random close packed sample of colloidal particles. We introduce an algorithm to estimate the size of each particle.
