Indexing Compressed XML Documents
2012XML data compression process seems to be inevitable to solve some problems related to the evolutionary growth of such data. Therefore, the indexing of compressed XML data, meanwhile, remains an important process and needs improvement and development in order to exploit the compressed data for querying and information retrieval.

New Compression Index Equation
Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, 2004The compression index, Cc (Cc′ in the case of remolded clay), which is obtained from the e-log p (e: void ratio, p: consolidation pressure) curve of the consolidation test, is used to calculate the...

Compression Index: Misleading Parameter?
Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, 1988The limitations of the compression index Cc as an indicator of soil compressibility are demonstrated and the usefulness of the relationship Cc = 0.007(LL. - 10) is questioned. (Note: LL = liquid limit.) Using experimental data from three soil groups of widely differing properties, it is shown that soils having the highest values of Cc and LL are not ...

Universal Compression Index Equation
Journal of the Geotechnical Engineering Division, 1980An expression is developed empirically which relates virgin compression index with instantaneous zero-air-voids curve slope, and which is applicable to saturated sedimented fine grain soils of a given value of specific gravity regardless of stress history.
