Data‐Driven Distributed Safe Control Design for Multi‐Agent Systems
This paper presents a data‐driven control barrier function (CBF) technique for ensuring safe control of multi‐agent systems (MASs) with uncertain linear dynamics. A data‐driven quadratic programming (QP) optimization is first developed for CBF‐based safe control of single‐agent systems using a nonlinear controller. This approach is then extended to the

Characterizations of dynamic material properties on compact pulsed power generator CQ-4
Over last two decades, the techniques of magnetically driven quasi-isentropic compression and launching high velocity flyer plates based on pulsed high current generators have being extensively used to do dynamic material experiments under extreme ...

Human Brain Organoids on a Chip Reveal the Physics of Folding
Human brain wrinkling has been implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders and yet its origins remain unknown. Polymer gel models suggest that wrinkling emerges spontaneously due to compression forces arising during differential swelling, but these ideas ...

The Immobilization of Hyaluronic Acid in 3D Hydrogel Scaffolds Modulates Macrophage Polarization
This study explores the use of collagen‐hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogels for the 3D culture of macrophages, providing a useful tool for modelling macrophage behavior in tissues and diseases. It highlights how hydrogel composition, mechanical properties, and preparation methods influence macrophage behavior, revealing for the first time that HA's ...

The unrolling of the peltate leaves in Syngonium podophyllum is analyzed and quantified (left‐hand side to center). These measurements serve to verify a mathematical model for leaf unrolling based on the model used in Schmidt (2007). An additional formula for obtaining a layer mismatch from a prescribed radius is derived.

Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially

In this study, exciting new bi‐/multi‐linear elastic behavior of soft elastic composites that accompany the activation of wrinkling in the embedded interfacial layers is analyzed. The new features and performance of these composite materials, including dramatic enhancements in energy storage, can be tailored by the concentration of interfacial layers ...
