Compression properties of lead–bismuth

The mechanical properties of a lead–bismuth alloy were studied by compression testing at different temperatures between 20 and 112 °C with strain rates from 10−3 to 10−6/s. The results indicate that the yield strength depends strongly on both temperature and strain rate.
