Effect of annealing temperature on the structure and properties of FeCoCrNiMo high-entropy alloy

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes, 2022
FeCoCrNiMo high-entropy alloy was melted by vacuum arc melting. The alloys were vacuum annealed at 873, 1,073, and 1,273 K, respectively. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), simultaneous thermal analyzer, microhardness tester,

CONTRACTILE PROPERTIES OF COMPRESSED MONOLAYERS OF ACTOMYOSIN [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of General Physiology, 1952
1. Surface-spread actomyosin, compressed into fibers, shows biological properties of contractility and enzymic activity. 2. In unloaded contractions, wet and dry weight determinations show no appreciable water loss in contraction. The fibers also evince a strong ATP-ase activity. 3. A structural continuity in the fibers by

The Al Effects of Co-Free and V-Containing High-Entropy Alloys

open access: yesMetals, 2017
In this study, five-component high-entropy alloys (HEAs) AlxCrFeNiV (where x denotes the molar ratio, x = 0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.75, 1, and 1.5) were prepared using an arc-melting furnace. The effects of the addition of the Al on the crystal structures were

A Novel Low-Activation VCrFeTaxWx (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 1) High-Entropy Alloys with Excellent Heat-Softening Resistance

open access: yesEntropy, 2018
The microstructure, Vickers hardness, and compressive properties of novel low-activation VCrFeTaxWx (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 1) high-entropy alloys (HEAs) were studied. The alloys were fabricated by vacuum-arc melting and the characteristics of these

Mechanical Properties of Compressed Wood in Accordance with the Compression Ratio

open access: yesMokuzai Gakkaishi, 2010
