Residual stress depth profiling of commercially pure titanium subjected to high-speed machining using energy dispersive diffraction [PDF]
Residual stress is well-known to influence the mechanical properties of machined components. The magnitude and distribution of these stresses are critical to determine the component’s life, specifically under fatigue loading.

The effects of lapping load in finishing advanced ceramic balls on a novel eccentric lapping machine [PDF]
HIPed (Hot Isostatically Pressed) silicon nitride ball blanks were lapped from diameter 13.255 mm to diameter 12.7 mm by a novel eccentric lapping machine. A maximum material removal rate of 68 μm/hour has been achieved under a nominal lapping load of 43

The role of residual thermal stress in interfacial strength of polymer composites by a novel single fibre technique [PDF]
The temperature dependence of the interfacial properties of glass fibre reinforced polypropylene and epoxy composites was investigated using a novel microbond test in the temperature controlled environment of a thermo-mechanical analyser.

Mechanical properties and energy absorbing capabilities of Z-pinned aluminum foam sandwich [PDF]
Aluminum foam sandwich (AFS) structures are suitable for impact protection in lightweight structural components due to their specific energy absorption capability under compression.

Modelling of residual stress relaxation: a review [PDF]
Compressive residual stress, induced by mechanical surface treatment, may relax during component operation life, due to thermal or mechanical mechanism. Fatigue life prediction for the components which have residual stress will be misled and inaccurately

Distribusi Dan Interaksi Tegangan Sisa Antar Lubang Setelah Proses Cold Expansion Hole [PDF]
It is well known that the main cause of a failure of structure is initiated by cracks on a member. A crack may originate easily in a region with high stress concentration.

Uniaxial Compressive Stress–Strain Model for Bauxite Residue Concrete
This paper investigates the full stress–strain response of bauxite residue concrete under uniaxial compression and presents an adapted constitutive model. This study investigates the stress–strain behavior in a series of uniaxial compression experiments and compares to the Popovics, Thorenfeldt et al. and Hoshikuma et al. model predictions.
