Prediction on concrete splitting strength from compressive strength of drilling‐core

Structural Concrete, 2021
AbstractCores were drilled from the panels made of different concrete mixtures. The compressive strength and splitting strength of core and cube specimens were tested at the ages of 7, 28, 60, 90, and 180 days. The effect of the diameter on concrete core splitting strength was examined.

Predictive compressive strength models for green concrete

International Journal of Structural Integrity, 2019
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop new predictive models using gene expression programming in order to estimate the compressive strength of green concrete, as accurate models that can predict the compressive strength of green concrete are still lacking.

Prediction of compressive strength of concrete

Matériaux et Constructions, 1974
The paper, which summarises a survey and an analysis of empirical strength laws, was undertaken with a view to formulating a strength law interrelating the water-cement ratio-which determines the porosity of the hardened cement-paste-and Powers's Gel/Space ratio, giving the relative strength of the cement stone.

Compressive Strength of Unidirectional Composites: Measurement and Prediction

1997
The present work examines the effect of resin ductility (varied as a function of temperature) on the compressive strength of unidirectional T800/924C carbon fibre-epoxy laminates. Tests are conducted in a screw-driven machine between room temperature and 100°C.

Finite element prediction of masonry compressive strength

Computers & Structures, 1994
Abstract A finite element program developed for the purpose of predicting the ultimate compressive strength of masonry is described. The local failure criteria included in the program are brick tensile strength, mortar tensile strength, brick-mortar interface bond tensile strength and brick-mortar interface shear strength.

Cubic meter compressive strength prediction of concrete

Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed., 2016
In order to improve the prediction accuracy of compressive strength of concrete,103 groups of concrete data were collected as the samples. We selected seven kinds of ingredients from the concrete samples, using Grid-SVM, PSO-SVM, and GA-SVM models to establish the prediction model of cubic meter compressive strength of concrete. The experimental results ...

Setting time and compressive strength prediction model of concrete by nondestructive ultrasonic pulse velocity testing at early age

, 2020
This study proposes a new model for estimating the setting and compressive strength development times, which involve changes in the concrete condition at early ages, using the ultrasonic pulse velocity testing.

Prediction of compressive strength of concrete based on accelerated strength

Structural Engineering and Mechanics, 2016
Moist curing of concrete is a time consuming procedure. It takes minimum 28 days of curing to obtain the characteristic strength of concrete. However, under certain situations such as shortage of time, weather conditions, on the spot changes in project and speedy construction, waiting for entire curing period becomes unaffordable.

Compressive Strength Prediction of Quad-Diametral Lattice Structures

Key Engineering Materials, 2020
Additive manufacturing is rapidly developing technology in all areas of industry. It is reducing the delivering time of each prototype from the manufacturer to the final user. This paper deals with mechanical properties of lattice structures. They are produced by additive technologies from the plastic material.

Compressive strength prediction models for cementitious composites with fly ash using machine learning techniques

Construction and Building Materials, 2020
In this study, it was proposed a novel prediction model to predict compressive strength of mortar samples having different properties. For this purpose, 8 different fly ashes were used in mortar mixture as a replacement of cement by weight.
