An experimental and computational analysis of compressor cascades with varying surface roughness [PDF]
This thesis presents a CFD and experimental analysis associated with the parameter compressor fouling and a CFD analysis associated with the parameter on-line compressor washing of industrial gas turbines.

Experimental Testing of Oil-Flooded Hermetic Scroll Compressor
In this work, a residential air conditioning compressor designed for vapor injection has been modified in order to inject large quantities of oil into the working chamber in order to approach an isothermal compression process.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Development of a New Mechanism for Dual Rotary Compressor
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, it is an urgent necessity for us to cut down the vain use of the power. Beforehand we have proposed the reduction of the power consumption used in “actual” air-conditioner operating load is low, and we have produced

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

A real parametric characterisation of ex-service compressor blade leading edges
In-service the degradation of compressor blade leading edges can have a disproportional effect on compressor efficiency. The high surface curvature in this region makes quantifying the surface finish of this sensitive and prominent region difficult.
