Exciton Radiative Lifetimes in Hexagonal Diamond Ge and SixGe1–x Alloys
Strong room‐temperature photoluminescence reported in hexagonal Ge conflicts with theory predicting a nearly dark band edge. First‐principles calculations of excitonic radiative lifetimes fill a key gap in this debate, showing that pristine hexagonal Ge remains intrinsically weakly emissive, while Si alloying only modestly shortens the lifetime and ...

An introduction for multidrive and environment‐adaptive micro/nanorobotics: design and fabrication strategies, intelligent actuation, and their applications. Various intelligent actuation approaches—magnetic, acoustic, optical, chemical, and biological—can be synergistically designed to enhance flexibility and adaptive behavior for precision medicine ...

Hard‐Magnetic Soft Millirobots in Underactuated Systems
This review provides a comprehensive overview of hard‐magnetic soft millirobots in underactuated systems. It examines key advances in structural design, physics‐informed modeling, and control strategies, while highlighting the interplay among these domains.

Continuum Mechanics Modeling of Flexible Spring Joints in Surgical Robots
A new mechanical model of a tendon‐actuated helical extension spring joint in surgical robots is built using Cosserat rod theory. The model can implicitly handle the unknown contacts between adjacent coils and numerically predict spring shapes from straight to significantly bent under actuation forces.

Computable General Equilibrium Modelling
1994This paper reviews computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling, taking as pathbreaking its starting point the contribution of Johansen (1960). It gives a brief history of the field; reviews solution procedures based on linear computations for single-period and multi-period models; sets out the theoretical structure, the data and some simulations ...

Computable General Equilibrium Models for Socialist Economies
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1986Abstract During the past decade, multisectoral computable general equilibrium (CGE) models have been widely used in developing countries to analyse issues as income distribution and structural adjustment. These models simulate the workings of a market economy, but a suitable adapted CGE model can provide a good framework for policy analysis in a post-

Computable General Equilibrium Modelling
1993The rationale for general as opposed to partial equilibrium analytical techniques has been identified in the discussion in Chapter 7. The purpose of other general equilibrium models discussed there was rather specific and therefore restrictive assumptions allowed us to avoid much elaboration of the underlying structure of the economy.

Regional Computable General Equilibrium Modeling
2013Over the past three decades the field of regional computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling has flourished, growing from a handful of top-down, single-region and low-dimensioned multiregional models, to a mature field, in which output of large-scale general-purpose multiregional CGE models has become a standard input to policy deliberations in a ...

Underemployment in a Computable General Equilibrium Model
2022This paper presents a methodology to account, in a computable general equilibrium model, for the presence of underemployment in an economic system. The methodology is based on the estimation of a matrix, mapping different categories of workers to levels of educational attainment. A procedure is proposed, which allows to recalculate the matrix after the

Forecasting with a Computable General Equilibrium Model
1987Computable general equilibrium (hereafter CGE) models represent a rapidly emerging field in applied economic analysis. CGE • models have, with few exceptions, been used solely for policy analysis; however there is a growing demand for forecasts from these models.
