Computational Aspects of Algebraic Curves

open access: yes, 2005
The development of new computational techniques and better computing power has made it possible to attack some classical problems of algebraic geometry. The main goal of this book is to highlight such computational techniques related to algebraic curves.

Computing exact aspect graphs of curved objects: Algebraic surfaces

International Journal of Computer Vision, 1992
This paper introduces a new approach for computing the exact aspect graph of curved objects observed under orthographic projection. Curves corresponding to various visual events partition the Gaussian sphere into regions where the image structure is stable.
