Computer vision experiments in crowdsourced astronomy
2016 New York Scientific Data Summit (NYSDS), 2016Structure-from-motion (SfM) is a computer vision method that enables the recreation of a 3D object by combining images of that object from many different angles. We apply SfM techniques to images of Jupiter crowdsourced from the amateur astronomy website AstroBin.
