ON FINDING THE RESULTANT OF TWO ENTIRE FUNCTIONS
Using Newton’s recurrent formulae, we find the product of values of an entire function of one variable in zeroes of another entire function. This allows to answer whether they have common zeros.

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Predicting glaucomatous visual field deterioration through short multivariate time series modelling [PDF]
In bio-medical domains there are many applications involving the modelling of multivariate time series (MTS) data. One area that has been largely overlooked so far is the particular type of time series where the data set consists of a large ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Depth diversity gradients of macrophytes: Shape, drivers, and recent shifts
Investigating diversity gradients helps to understand biodiversity drivers and threats. However, one diversity gradient is rarely assessed, namely how plant species distribute along the depth gradient of lakes.

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Towards a Convenient Category of Topological Domains [PDF]
We propose a category of topological spaces that promises to be convenient for the purposes of domain theory as a mathematical theory for modelling computation. Our notion of convenience presupposes the usual properties of domain theory, e.g.

metaRange: A framework to build mechanistic range models
Mechanistic or process‐based models offer great insights into the range dynamics of species facing non‐equilibrium conditions, such as climate and land‐use changes or invasive species.

Retrieving atmospheric turbulence information from regular commercial aircraft using Mode-S and ADS-B [PDF]
Navigational information broadcast by commercial aircraft in the form of Mode-S EHS (Mode-S Enhanced Surveillance) and ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast) messages can be considered a new source of upper tropospheric and lower ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
