Computed Tomography of the Prostate

Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1979
The conventional anatomy of the prostate is reviewed and the computed tomography (CT) anatomy described and illustrated. The results of 55 "normal" cases were analyzed for size and relationship to the symphysis pubis, retropubic space, and bladder, as shown on CT sections correlating the features with age and possible urinary symptoms.

Computed Coronal Tomography

Radiology, 1976
A method for obtaining coronal scans of the cranium is described in which a scanner with a tilting gantry is used. Computed coronal tomography is especially useful in the high convexity area and in the suprasellar and foramen magnum regions.

Computed Tomography of the Body

New England Journal of Medicine, 1983
COMPUTED tomography (CT) of the body (excluding the head and neck) has become a well-established, important, and sometimes crucial noninvasive imaging examination.

Computed Tomography of the Larynx

Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1978
Evaluation of computed tomography of the normal larynx has been performed utilizing corresponding tomographic and anatomic planes. The transaxial, coronal, and sagittal planes have been evaluated. While all three planes have distinct potential diagnostic value, the transaxial plane offers a unique view of laryngeal structures not afforded by any other ...

Computed Tomography of the Pancreas

Radiology, 1976
Computed tomography (CT) has proven useful in diagnosing inflammatory and neoplastic disease of the pancreas. Neoplasms of the pancreas produce enlargement of the gland and loss of surrounding fat planes. Acute pancreatitis also produces enlargement but correct diagnosis can be made with the clinical correlation.

Computed Tomography of the Hindfoot

Orthopedic Clinics of North America, 1985
Computed tomography defines the anatomy and pathology of the talus, the calcaneus, and intervening joints better than conventional modalities. It enhances the understanding and diagnosis of the various musculoskeletal disorders affecting those structures. As a result, the clinical and surgical management is improved.

Computed Tomography of Retinoblastoma

Acta Radiologica. Diagnosis, 1986
Retinoblastoma is the most common primary malignant intraocular tumor in children. The clinical features are leucocoria and/or strabismus. The ophthalmic diagnosis is straight forward in clear eye media with a white gray mass in the fundus. With opaque ocular media, other diagnostic procedures such as CT and ultrasonography are important.

Colonography by computed tomography

European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, 2005
Computed tomographic colonography ('virtual colonoscopy') has shown promising results in the detection of large (> or = 10 mm) polyps in populations with a high prevalence of polyps. Recent studies in low prevalence populations, however, show variable results in sensitivity, ranging from 55% to 94% for the detection of patients with polyps measuring 10

Computed tomography of the liver

Journal of Computed Tomography, 1984
Computed tomography (CT) has been in clinical use for nearly a decade. The capabilities and potentials of this tool in evaluating disease of various organs are continuously being explored. A number of articles have been published focusing on its clinical applications in hepatic disorders and comparing its efficacy with other imaging modalities.
