A Case of HeartMate 3 Outflow Graft Twisting with Extraluminal Thrombosis: Is Computed Tomography Angiography Helpful? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Twists in the outflow graft of the HeartMateTM 3 device (Abbott) have recently been described as a sporadic, late complication. We present a case with a unique combination of external compression of the HeartMate 3 outflow graft by a surgical scar ...

Neuroimaging as a selection tool and endpoint in preclinical and clinical trials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Standard imaging in acute stroke enables the exclusion of non-stroke structural CNS lesions and cerebral haemorrhage from clinical and pre-clinical ischaemic stroke trials. In this review, the potential benefit of imaging (e.g., angiography and penumbral

A Soft‐Tip Hydraulically Steerable Catheter for Enhanced Flexibility and Safety in Vascular Interventions

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a hydraulically steerable catheter with a soft tip in vascular procedures. The steering soft tip achieves a minimal diameter of 2.6 mm and supports a 180° bend. Real‐time shape and position tracking, facilitated by segmentation and endpoint detection techniques, improves navigation.

Computed Tomography and Angiography of Left Ventricular Diverticulum

open access: yesJournal of the American College of Cardiology, 2011
![Figure][1] A 68-year-old man underwent percutaneous coronary intervention of an 80% circumflex stenosis. Ventriculography was normal, except for a basal anteroseptal protrusion (A, C, and E) . Cardiac computed tomography revealed a small diverticulum with myocardial thinning (B, D, F, G,

Real‐Time Guidewire Tip Tracking Using a Siamese Network for Image‐Guided Endovascular Procedures

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Accurate guidewire navigation is critical for the success of endovascular procedures. This study presents a deep learning‐based framework that enables real‐time localization of the guidewire tip from intraoperative digital subtraction angiography images.
