Computer-Aided Electroretinography

Ophthalmologica, 1986
A description is given of a system of computer-aided electroretinogram (ERG) analysis. The system is the basis of a new quality in ERG evaluation. The statistical behavior of ERG components in healthy eye subjects is demonstrated by histograms. The new opportunities offered by the method are discussed.

Computer-aided diagnostics

Thoracic Surgery Clinics, 2004
The computer can be used in a number of ways to aid the physician to interpret CT lung images. Commercial tools are becoming available to assist the radiologist in growth rate determination, hence cancer diagnosis. Computer algorithms are in development that will permit lung health evaluation, including nodule detection.

Computer-aided verification

IEEE Spectrum, 1996
Theorem proving and model checking are powerful tools that can verify the logical correctness of today's ICs or find their hidden bugs. Today, the first computer-aided verification tools are becoming commercially available. They are based on methods that in many cases can reduce the complexity of verification (without sacrificing guaranteed correctness)

Computer-aided stereotach

Computers and Biomedical Research, 1969
Abstract A stereotach has been designed and constructed on the principle that computer processing of the readings frees the designer to arrange an instrument for maximum convenience of manipulation, and the constructor from precise machine work except at a few critical points.

Computer-aided gene design

"Protein Engineering, Design and Selection", 1992
A computer program, which runs on MS-DOS personal computers, is described that assists in the design of synthetic genes coding for proteins. The goal of the program is the design of a gene which (i) contains as many unique restriction sites as possible and (ii) uses a specific codon usage.

Computer‐Aided Diagnosis of Genodermatoses

The Journal of Dermatology, 2004
AbstractGenodermatoses are not usually easily diagnosed by inexperienced physicians. We developed a computer program to aid their clinical diagnoses and compared its accuracy rate to those of five residents in dermatology. The database of the program contained the clinical findings of 100 genodermatoses.

Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) in Prosthetics

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1990
Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems for the design and manufacture of limb prostheses have recently become commercially available. However, rigorous evaluations of these systems have not been performed to determine whether they produce sockets that fit as well as or better than sockets made using conventional design
