ABSTRACT Background Outcomes in relapsed or refractory pediatric and AYA bone sarcomas remain poor, and the impact of early referral to specialized sarcoma centers on survival is unclear. Early centralization of care may improve local and systemic treatment quality, but evidence in this population is limited.

Computer-aided diagnosis: A review
Abstract Fifteen years ago, computer-aided diagnosis of the acute abdomen promised much. Today it is little used. Studies have been flawed by poor trial design, bias, selective reporting of results, statistical naivety and spurious conclusions. The computer system lacks ‘common sense’ and is less accurate than clinicians.

Computer Aided Diagnosis for Virtual Colonography [PDF]
The success of CT colonography (CTC) depends on appropriate tools for quick and accurate diagnostic reading. Current advancements in computer technology have the potential to bring such tools even to the PC level. In this paper a technique for Computed Aided Diagnosis (CAD) using CT colonography is described.

ABSTRACT Introduction Hyperlipidemia is a major risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Although statins are the cornerstone of lipid‐lowering therapy, their use may be limited in some patients by adverse effects. This study evaluated the possible impact of non‐drug treatment using double‐filtration plasmapheresis (DFPP) on CD14+

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...
