Computer-generated hologram statistics
SPIE Proceedings, 2010The statistical distributions of phase values in computer-generated holograms produced with iterative algorithms are studied. Useful relationships between the parameter values applied in the iterative technique used for their generation and measured performance are provided.

Single-substrate birefringent computer-generated holograms
Optics Letters, 1996A polarization-selective computer-generated hologram fabricated upon a single substrate of birefringent YVO(4) crystal is demonstrated. Rigorous couple-wave analysis was used to model the element. The experimentally measured first diffraction order showed a close-to-theoretically predicted diffraction efficiency of 39%.

Making infrared holograms using a computer-generated hologram
Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1986Since high resolution recording materials are not readily available in the infrared and laser diodes do not have a sufficient coherent length, it is difficult to make an infrared hologram for the LD directly. An infrared hologram for a simple object can be easily calculated by a computer. If the hologram is large and the spatial frequency is high (say,

Computer generated holograms: an historical review
Applied Optics, 1987Since Gabor's first hologram, the meanings of that term have grown with increased use of the invention. Computers expanded applications further, and this paper surveys the methods and techniques of computer generated holograms.

Adaptive layer-based computer-generated holograms
Optics LettersWe propose a novel, to the best of our knowledge, and fast adaptive layer-based (ALB) method for generating a computer-generated hologram (CGH) with accurate depth information. A complex three-dimensional (3D) object is adaptively divided into layers along the depth direction according to its own non-uniformly distributed depth coordinates, which ...

Computer-generated three-dimensional image holograms
Applied Optics, 1992A synthetic generation of three-dimensional image holograms is suggested. The complex amplitude in the hologram is calculated by using the spectrum of plane waves. Specifically, three-dimensional images are composed of planar and inclined two-dimensional distributions.
