Algorithms and architectures to computational systems implementation

Proceedings of IEEE 5th International Workshop on Rapid System Prototyping, 2002
This paper describes some techniques currently under research to explore hardware-software tradeoffs during a system development. We show that the moving of SW operations to HW can be further improved if the source code is modified in order to increase the overall parallelism of the system.

Systolic architectures, systems and computations

1988
A variety of problems related to systolic architectures, systems and computations is discussed. The emphases are on fundamental and general problems of broader interest. The paper concentrates on theoretical models, techniques and results. Main motivations are discussed and interesting/important applications are shown.

ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN OF COMPUTER-ASSISTED INSTRUCTION SYSTEMS

eLearning and Software for Education, 2013
The multitude of innovations which assault us in all areas of life made necessary "the education for change". Through education, people must ensure the ability to develop the capacity to understand and respond appropriately to various challenges from society, to become agents of their own training, to organize and structure their own knowledge. As time

Computer system architecture for image and spectral processing

Proceedings, annual meeting, Electron Microscopy Society of America, 1987
In this paper we shall discuss digital imaging and spectroscopy systems from the perspective of a system designer and we shall concentrate on those design choices that limit performance in microscopy and analysis applications. The hardware of a computer system can be broken down into three main components.

Architecture and grid application of cluster computing system

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
Recently, people pay more attention to the grid technology. It can incorporate high-speed network, high performance computer, large database, sensor and remote equipment etc. Moreover, it can not only connect all kinds of resources in the network and also put them into a super transparent computing environment for customers.

Generalization of computing systems: the architecture and organization

International Journal of Systems Science, 1974
Modern computers are primarily binary. Proposed in this paper is a new generalized computing system, by which a number system of any arbitrary radix can be manipulated directly without encoders and decoders. The feature of being able to vary the radix is achieved by pulse counting with alterable carry conditions.

Hardware and Software Architecture in Computer Conferencing Systems

1992
The use of Computer Conferencing Systems (CCS) has so far been very limited. Why is this the present situation? Is the problem due to lack of user friendliness or functionality, or is it because they do not fit in with other systems? This paper discusses the different possible answers.

IIMPROVEMENT OF ARCHITECTURES AND SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS OF INTERACTIVE DISTRIBUTED COMPUTER SYSTEMS

KIBERNETYKA TA SYSTEMNYI ANALIZ
The functional shortcomings of the architectures of interactive distributed computer systems (IDCS) are analyzed and identified. The algorithms of data formation and processing based on orthogonal functions that generate non-positional number systems are investigated.
