Data transmission network computer-to-computer study
Proceedings of the ACM second symposium on Problems in the optimizations of data communications systems -, 1971This study addresses the problems of designing a low undetected error rate (e. g., 10−8) communication system for the transmission of large quantities of computer data between two remote locations. The study effort includes a characterization of the interconnect channels, and an analysis, evaluation and recommendations for coding techniques.
