Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Gate-control of spin-motive force and spin-torque in Rashba SOC systems

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
The introduction of a strong Rashba spin–orbit coupling has been predicted to enhance the spin motive force (SMF) (see Kim et al 2012 Phys. Rev. Lett. http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.108.217202 108 http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.108.217202 ).

A dedicated computer system for FM-CW radar applications

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2001
In this paper, a DSP based computer system for FM-CW radar applications is described. Besides data acquisition and storage, the computer system will also be used for front-end data processing and system control. Processing includes filtering and clutter

Random-access technique for modular bathymetry data storage in a continental shelf wave refraction program [PDF]

open access: yes
A study was conducted of an alternate method for storage and use of bathymetry data in the Langley Research Center and Virginia Institute of Marine Science mid-Atlantic continental-shelf wave-refraction computer program. The regional bathymetry array was

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.
