XOR‐Logic Phase Coding Programmable Metasurface for Low Power‐Consumption Systems
By leveraging XOR logic, the biasing‐network complexity of 2D programmable metasurfaces is reduced from m×n to m+n through efficient row‐column control. This enables versatile functions including beam deflection and beamforming, facilitating applications in wireless communications and beyond.

Tunable Sound Absorption via Evanescent‐Wave Coupling in Asymmetric Bilayer Metasurfaces
Tunable sound absorption is realized through a bilayer metasurface system governed by evanescent‐wave coupling. This work demonstrates that such evanescent‐wave coupling provides a controllable scattering channel that destructively interferes with the specular reflection.

Optical vortices with starlight: Implications for ground-based stellar coronagraphy
Using an l = 1 blazed fork-hologram at the focal plane of the Asiago 122 cm telescope, we obtained optical vortices from the stellar system Rasalgethi (alpha Herculis) and from the single star Arcturus (alpha Bootis).

This work presents a study of how 4D‐STEM centre of mass measurements and STEM‐EBIC can be used to map the positions, directions, and strengths of electric fields in semiconductor devices. The contrast mechanisms of both techniques are tested and compared with simulations to build a robust analysis of an in situ device in the electron microscope ...

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...

Efficient texture mapping by adaptive mesh division in mesh-based computer generated hologram.
We propose a method that achieves efficient texture mapping in fully-analytic computer generated holograms based on triangular meshes. In computer graphics, the texture mapping is commonly used to represent the details of objects without increasing the ...
