Form-birefringent computer-generated holograms [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 1996
Polarization-selective computer-generated holograms made with form-birefringent nanostructures were designed, fabricated, and evaluated experimentally at 1.5 microm. The fabricated element showed a large polarization contrast ratio (>250:1) and a high diffraction efficiency (>40% for a binary phase level element).

Superpositions of the Orbital Angular Momentum for Applications in Quantum Experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Two different experimental techniques for preparation and analyzing superpositions of the Gaussian and Laguerre-Gassian modes are presented. This is done exploiting an interferometric method on the one hand and using computer generated holograms on the ...

Computer-generated holograms [PDF]

open access: yesPhotoniques, 2017
Diffractive optical elements (DOEs) have many advantages over conventional ones. For a start, they are generally lighter, take up less room, and have a wider variety of properties. They can also be used to fabricate hybrid elements that modify polarization, compensate for dispersion, and so on.

Acceleration of computer-generated hologram using wavefront-recording plane and look-up table in three-dimensional holographic display.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2020
In this paper, we propose a fast calculation method using look-up table and wavefront-recording plane. Wavefront-recording plane method consists of two steps: the first step is the calculation of a wavefront-recording plane which is placed between the ...

Generation of Generalized-Gauss Laser Beams via a Spatial Light Modulator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Generalized-Gauss laser beams can be described as a continuous transition between the well-known Hermite-Gauss (HG) and Laguerre-Gauss (LG) laser beams.

Weighted Constraint Iterative Algorithm for Phase Hologram Generation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
A weighted constraint iterative algorithm is presented to calculate phase holograms with quality reconstruction. The image plane is partitioned into two regions where different constraint strategies are implemented during the iteration process.

Binary Computer-Generated Holograms by Simulated-Annealing Binary Search

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
The binary computer-generated hologram (BCGH) has attracted much attention recently because it can address the high-speed binary spatial light modulator (SLM), such as a digital micromirror device (DMD) SLM.

Monochrome Image Hologram (MIH)

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2008
A new computer-generated optical element called a monochrome image hologram (MIH) is described. A real nonnegative function to represent the transmittance of a synthesized hologram is used.

Reversible Mode Switching in Y coupled Terahertz Lasers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Electrically independent terahertz (THz) quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) are optically coupled in a Y configuration. Dual frequency, electronically switchable emission is achieved in one QCL using an aperiodic grating, designed using computer-generated ...
