Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Optical damage as a computer generated hologram recording mechanism

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper we report optical damage as a bulk glass recording process. We used a 10Hz, 35picoseconds, 5mJ polarized Nd:YAG pulse laser focused using a 25mm lens to create 50μm average optical damage spots to record a computer generated hologram ...

High-space bandwidth product computer-generated holography using volume holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
We suggest a method for coding high resolution computer-generated volume holograms. It involves splitting the computer-generated hologram into multiple holograms, each individually recorded as a volume hologram utilizing the maximal resolution available ...

Novel Non‐Cytotoxic Acylphosphinates and Acylphosphine Oxides Photoinitiators

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Novel acylphosphine oxide (APO) and acylphosphinate photoinitiators based on DPO and DOPO were designed to investigate structure–property relationships including photochemical performance, polymerization efficiency and cytotoxicity. While DPO derivatives showed excellent reactivity, DOPO‐based systems also displayed good efficiency and significantly ...
