Special issue of computer graphics and image processing
IEEE Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing Newsletter, 1981A special issue of Computer Graphics and Image Processing on Motion and Time-Varying Imagery is planned for 1982. Professor J.K. Aggarwal will be the guest editor for the special issue. The issue will address both theoretical and experimental issues related to time-varying imagery including dynamic scene analysis, real-time processing of imagery ...

Feature based classification of computer graphics and real images
2009 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2009Photorealistic images can now be created using advanced techniques in computer graphics (CG). Synthesized elements could easily be mistaken for photographic (real) images. Therefore we need to differentiate between CG and real images. In our work, we propose and develop a new framework based on an aggregate of existing features.

Computer Graphics: New Emphasis on Image Quality
SMPTE Journal, 1986Increased processor speed, decreased memory and disk storage costs, and the advent of the bit-slice co-processor have enabled several companies to offer full-color (24-bit/pixel) computer graphics systems at significantly lower prices and in smaller packages than was possible a few years ago.

Applications in Image Processing, Computer Graphics, and Computer-Aided Design
1994This chapter illustrates the use of multidimensional search tree and search trie objects for applications in image processing, computer-aided design (CAD), and computer graphics. Four applications are presented, two employing comparative-based multidimensional search trees and two employing digital-based multidimensional search tries.

Mirrors in Computer Graphics, Computer Vision and Time-of-Flight Imaging
2013Mirroring is one of the fundamental light/surface interactions occurring in the real world. Surfaces often cause specular reflection, making it necessary to design robust geometry recovery algorithms for many practical situations. In these applications the specular nature of the surface is a challenge.

Applications of Computer Graphics and Image Processing in Art Design
Advanced Materials Research, 2014With the rapid development of computer graphics , image processing technology and three-dimensional modeling techniques, the approach of the Art Design extends to the computer-aided design from the original hand-drawn. Since three-dimensional computer graphics software effects processing and display of 3D modeling software, strengthens the beauty and ...

A survey of computer graphics image encoding and storage formats
ACM SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics, 1991This paper is a survey of several storage formats used for computer generated or sampled images, both for purposes of archival storage and transmission (transfer from one location or platform to another). Various methodologies for the compression of such images are presented and discussed, Image storage standards and some of the more common commercial ...
