Interactive Computer Graphic Image Analysis for Functional Neurosurgery
Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, 1987This study deals with the use of microcomputer graphic analysis of preop-erative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans in functional neurosurgical procedures. Three patients (2 treated for thalamotomy and 1 for thalamic stimulation) had preadmission MRI scans which delineated the classic internal landmarks used in functional neurosurgery.

From image and video compression to computer graphics
Proceedings 2000 International Conference on Image Processing (Cat. No.00CH37101), 2000We report previous effort in expanding image and video compression to computer graphics applications, in particular those based on image-based rendering. We then introduce our progress in developing a networked immersive environment that integrates image analysis, face animation, and streaming of 3D objects, to provide a truly immersive environment ...

From concept to image with computer art graphics
Proceedings. 1997 IEEE Conference on Information Visualization (Cat. No.97TB100165), 2002Discusses how to train computer graphics-oriented students to be able to use the computer to its full artistic potential, with application both of programming and art-related issues. Students create computer art graphics inspired by scientific concepts, to match the curricular content of other courses they are taking concurrently.

Computer graphics for half-tone three-dimensional object images
Computers & Graphics, 1974Abstract A system is described for displaying studio-quality television images of objects described by a set of closed polyhedra. The objects are defined by a series of opaque planar surfaces which may obscure and intersect each other. The image description lists are passed through a scan-conversion, hidden surface removal and shading process and are

Computer Graphics: New Emphasis on Image Quality
SMPTE Journal, 1986Increased processor speed, decreased memory and disk storage costs, and the advent of the bit-slice co-processor have enabled several companies to offer full-color (24-bit/pixel) computer graphics systems at significantly lower prices and in smaller packages than was possible a few years ago.
