Application of the Rigid Finite Element Method to Static Analysis of Lattice-Boom Cranes
In the paper a nonlinear model of a lattice-boom crane with lifting capacity up to 700mT for static analysis is presented. The rigid finite element method is used for discretisation of the lattice-boom and the mast.

Crowding-induced phase separation of nuclear transport receptors in FG nucleoporin assemblies
The rapid (<1 ms) transport of biological material to and from the cell nucleus is regulated by the nuclear pore complex (NPC). At the core of the NPC is a permeability barrier consisting of intrinsically disordered phenylalanine-glycine nucleoporins (

Numerical analysis of a skew rolling process for producing a crankshaft preform
The paper describes a new method for forming a crankshaft preform. The method is based on the skew rolling technique. With this method the part is formed by three tapered rolls rotated with the same velocity and in the same direction. Simultaneously, the

ABSTRACT Background Pediatric patients with extracranial solid tumors (ST) receiving chemotherapy are at an increased risk for Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP). However, evidence guiding prophylaxis practices in this population is limited. A PJP‐related fatality at our institution highlighted inconsistent prescribing approaches and concerns about

Plastometric tests for plasticine as physical modelling material
This paper presents results of plastometric tests for plasticine, used as material for physical modelling of metal forming processes. The test was conducted by means of compressing by flat dies of cylindrical billets at various temperatures.
