Two-dimensional dynamical systems admitting the normal shift [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2000
Two-dimensional case in the theory of dynamical systems admitting the normal shift differs crucially from multidimensional case. Features of two-dimensional case are gathered and studied in this thesis.

Dosimetric evaluation and clinical application of collimated apertures with proton beam line scanning in stereotactic radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) is a highly effective treatment with precision for small, localized lesions. Proton therapy, characterized by the Bragg peak, offers superior dose conformity compared to photon‐based approaches. However, challenges remain in minimizing lateral penumbra and optimizing dose delivery, particularly for small

Numerical Studies of Influencing Factors on the Homogeneity of the Powder Mixture during the Powder Spreading Process of Powder Bed Fusion–Laser Beam/Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
AISI 304L stainless steel powder is mixed with silicon nitride (Si3N4) powder and processed by PBF‐LB/M, allowing partial retention of Si3N4. The numerical approach effectively predicts the Si3N4 powder homogeneity and N content distribution on the powder bed. Recent studies have focused on the alloying of nitrogen (N) in high‐alloy stainless steels by

An introduction to Noncommutative Projective Geometry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
These notes are an expanded version of the author's lectures at the graduate workshop "Noncommutative Algebraic Geometry" at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in June 2012. The main topics discussed are Artin-Schelter regular algebras, point modules, and the noncommutative projective scheme associated to a graded algebra.

Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially

Riemann-Lagrange geometry for starfish-coral dynamical system [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Sciences, Vol. 22 (2020), 181-188, 2016
In this paper we develop the Riemann-Lagrange geometry, in the sense of nonlinear connection, d-torsions, d-curvatures and jet Yang-Mills entity, associated with the dynamical system concerning social interaction in colonial organisms.

Bridging Nature and Technology: A Perspective on Role of Machine Learning in Bioinspired Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Machine learning (ML) is revolutionizing the development of bioinspired ceramics. This article investigates how ML can be used to design new ceramic materials with exceptional performance, inspired by the structures found in nature. The research highlights how ML can predict material properties, optimize designs, and create advanced models to unlock a ...

Development and Validation of a One‐Dimensional Finite Difference Simulation Scheme for Polymer Laser Powder Bed Fusion with Application to the Effect of the Inter Layer Time

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents an efficient simulation approach for the polymer laser powder bed fusion process polymers process, validated with polyamide 12, polyamide 6, and polyetherketoneketone. It shows that inter layer time affects part density, with 90s yielding dense parts.
