Computer graphics techniques for modeling page turning
Turning the page is a mechanical part of the cognitive act of reading that we do literally unthinkingly. Interest in realistic book models for digital libraries and other online documents is growing.

Efficient Evaluation of Large Polynomials [PDF]
Minimizing the evaluation cost of a polynomial expression is a fundamental problem in computer science. We propose tools that, for a polynomial P given as the sum of its terms, compute a representation that permits a more efficient evaluation.

R program of March’s (1991) mutual learning model
We conduct simulations in the same setting as March’s (1991) mutual learning model. As March’s (1991) programs have not been published and his model is vaguely formulated because of less use of mathematical notation, Mitomi creates a computer simulation ...

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Evaluating Software Architectures: Development Stability and Evolution
We survey seminal work on software architecture evaluation methods. We then look at an emerging class of methods that explicates evaluating software architectures for stability and evolution. We define architectural stability and formulate the problem of
