Multimedia Education in Computer Science: A Little Bit of Everything Is Not Enough
IEEE Multimedia, 2008Media Impact usually focuses on the practical impact of multimedia research on IT business. Yet given the pervasiveness of multimedia technology in our everyday life, a thorough reflection on the impact of multimedia progress on education and, in particular, multimedia education is overdue.

The quality of content is a key attribute for assessing the globalquality of a museum application. Unfortunately, producing good content, especially in multimedia digital form, is expensive and time-consuming.One way to reduce the costs without sacrificing quality is to exploitthe concept of information reuse.

In a series of three experimental studies, we investigate the understanding achieved by learners when studying a complex domain in computer science, that is, the subject of memory management concepts in operating systems. We use three different media combinations to explain the subject of memory management concepts - Animation and text, animation and ...

2012 Second International Conference on Digital Information and Communication Technology and it's Applications (DICTAP), 2012
We conducted two experiments to examine the effects that prior knowledge and different types of animation have on student understanding. Students were identified as either low or high prior knowledge from a series of questions asked in a prior knowledge survey conducted on computer science undergraduate students.
