Virtual Reality and Computer Simulation in Social Work Education: A Systematic Review
Journal of Social Work Education, 2019The use of virtual reality and computer simulation are gaining ground in social work as viable teaching methods. Traditionally recognized as ancillary to classroom learning, they are being incorporated strategically into course curricula.

Abstract The need to solve analytically intractable models has led to the rise of a new kind of science, computational science, of which computer simulations are a special case. It is noted that the development of novel mathematical techniques often drives scientific progress and that even relatively simple models require numerical ...

A computer simulation method for the calculation of equilibrium constants for the formation of physi
, 1981An improved metal stamped and formed screw is disclosed. The subject screw is stamped and formed from continuous web of metal stock to form a plurality of screws joined by a carrier strip.

Advances in computer simulation
[1991] Proceedings of the 24th Annual Simulation Symposium, 1991Computer simulation is currently undergoing an explosion of innovation and a dramatic increase in its range of application. New hardware and software paradigms, such as the transputer, massive parallelism and emergent artificial intelligence (AI) methodologies, are helping to fuel this surge. A wide range of advances in simulation research presented at

Computer simulations as experiments
Synthese, 2008Whereas computer simulations involve no direct physical interaction between the machine they are run on and the physical systems they are used to investigate, they are often used as experiments and yield data about these systems. It is commonly argued that they do so because they are implemented on physical machines.

Phylogenetic Analysis of Covariance by Computer Simulation
, 1993Biologists often compare average phenotypes of groups of species defined cladistically or on behavioral, ecological, or physiological criteria (e.g., carnivores vs. herbivores, social vs. nonsocial species, endotherms vs. ectotherms).

Simulating physics with computers [PDF]
This chapter describes the possibility of simulating physics in the classical approximation, a thing which is usually described by local differential equations. But the physical world is quantum mechanical, and therefore the proper problem is the simulation of quantum physics. A computer which will give the same probabilities as the quantum system does.
