Total Hip Arthroplasty Modelling and Load Simulation, in COMSOL Multiphysics

Studies in Computational Intelligence, 2023
In total hip arthroplasty (THA), has been over time, an exponential growth of studies with Finite Element Method (FEM) computational simulation in order to obtain the prosthesis with a longer life duration, however just a few in COMSOL Multiphysics software.

COMSOL Multiphysics Simulation in Biomedical Engineering

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
In the past two decades, COMSOL Multiphysics Software Package have emerged as a powerful tool for simulation, particularly in Nanotechnology and most importantly in biomedical application and various application involving fluid and solid interactions. Compared with conventional component or system design, distinctive advantages of using COMSOL software

The Helmholtz coils simulating and improved in COMSOL

2014 Dynamics of Systems, Mechanisms and Machines (Dynamics), 2014
The paper describes the simulating Helmholtz coils and improved Helmholtz coils in COMSOL. Improved Helmholtz coils allows to create a magnetic field with inhomogeneity is not more than 1 % at a distance of half the radius of the geometric center of the coils system. The simulation technique is described.

Artificial Flagellum Microrobot. Design and Simulation in COMSOL

2017
This paper presents a study of motion of an artificial flagellum microrobot in a viscous environment in COMSOL Multiphysics. The microrobot is essentially a body, consisting of a piezoelectric layered beam divided into several segments. Its actuation for propulsion relies on the creation of a non-reciprocal motion along the body.

The enhancement of students learning through COMSOL simulation projects

Proceedings of the 2014 Zone 1 Conference of the American Society for Engineering Education, 2014
Research has shown that student participation in research activities increases faculty/student interactions outside the classroom, increases student involvement in their learning, addresses different learning styles, provides opportunities to see the entire academic pipeline, and makes difficult coursework more relevant.

Simulation of Electromagnetic Systems by COMSOL Multiphysics

2019
Non-destructive techniques are used widely in the metal industry in order to control the quality of materials. Eddy current testing is one of the most extensively used non-destructive techniques for inspecting electrically conductive materials at very high speeds that does not require any contact between the test piece and the sensor.
