Journal of Comparative Neurology, Volume 534, Issue 10, October 2026.Aging induces sex‐dependent remodeling of somatostatin interneurons in the mouse mPFC, with reduced cell density in males, increased dendritic arborization in females, and age‐related reorganization of GluN1 and GluN2B receptor puncta. These findings highlight structural and molecular plasticity of inhibitory circuits across aging.
