A Novel Concatenated Coding Scheme: RS-SC-LDPC Codes

IEEE Communications Letters, 2020
A novel concatenated coding scheme is introduced, where the Reed-Solomon (RS) code is concatenated with the spatially coupled low-density parity-check (SC-LDPC) code, namely the RS-SC-LDPC code.

Concatenated block codes

2010 The 2nd International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering (ICCAE), 2010
This paper, studies the comparative performance of a traditional and Concatenated coding schemes for transmission of digital data over a mobile communication channel. Traditional codes are effective for reliable transmission of information over hostile channel when the errors caused by the channel are statistically independent.

Performance Evaluation of Concatenated Codes applied in Wireless Channels

2019 1st AL-Noor International Conference for Science and Technology (NICST), 2019
This paper provides the design and graphical illustration of the error rate performance obtained on a frequency selective Raleigh fading channel. The system applied for using the concatenated codes in which the outer code is a Reed-Solomon code and the ...

A Comparison of Concatenated Polar Codes with Different Interleaving and Decoding Schemes

International Conference on Communication, Computing & Security, 2020
Towards the 5th generation wireless systems (5G) and beyond, polar codes have become a hot research topic in the field of communications. In our work, concatenated polar codes with different interleaving and decoding schemes are designed to improve the ...

Concatenated hash code selection

International Journal of Computer & Information Sciences, 1984
Summary: An algorithm for selecting the concatenated hash code for partial-match or multiple-attribute retrieval in a hashing scheme is presented. The optimal code length for each attribute is determined with respect to a merit function. Two adjustment algorithms are then presented to find the optimal code length under the integer and nonnegative lower

Concatenated kernel codes

Discrete Mathematics, Algorithms and Applications, 2020
Concatenated codes introduced by Forney in 1966 received wide attention due to their extensive usage in space missions. Thereafter, many concatenated codes were constructed on the similar lines and successfully employed in digital communication setup. In this paper, concatenated kernel code is defined.

Rate-Adaptive Concatenated Polar-Staircase Codes for Data Center Interconnects

Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exhibition, 2020
A rate-adaptive concatenated code, consisting of an outer staircase code and an inner polar code is proposed. Short blocklength inner polar codes offers rate-adaptivity and more than 0.35 dB gain compared to the 400ZR data-center-interconnect error ...

Concatenated prime codes

IEEE Communications Letters, 1999
This letter presents a new construction of frequency-hopping (FH) patterns, here designated as concatenated prime codes, for a multilevel frequency-shift-keying/frequency-hopping code-division multiple-access (MFSK/FH-CDMA) system. The concatenated prime codes are constructed by modifying prime codes and they possess ideal autocorrelation and nearly ...

Interleaver Design for Short Concatenated Codes

IEEE Communications Letters, 2018
The choice of the interleaver may significantly affect the performance of short codes when they are used in serial concatenation. By focusing on the minimum distance of the overall concatenated code, we propose an algorithmic method for the design of ...

Concatenated group codes and their exponents

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1987
Codes that are concatenations of group codes are considered. It is shown that when G and H are finite groups and the inner and outer codes are G- and H-codes, respectively, then under certain conditions the concatenated code is a \(G\times H\) code.
