A New Class of Braided Block Codes Constructed by Convolutional Interleavers
Parallel Concatenated Block (PCB) codes are conventionally represented as high-rate codes with low error correcting capability. To form a reliable and outstanding code, this paper presents a modification on the structure of PCB codes, which is ...

Parallel concatenated Gallager codes
A class of concatenated codes called parallel concatenated Gallager codes (PCGCs) in which low density parity check (LDPC) codes are used as the component codes is presented. Simulation results for PCGCs that outperform comparable LDPC codes in an AWGN channel are also presented.

Reed-Solomon Hybrid Codes for Optical Communications
The astonishing performance of concatenated codes attracted many researchers and this has resulted in an explosive amount of literature since their introduction few years ago.

Dynamically generated concatenated codes and their phase diagrams
We formulate code concatenation as the action of a unitary quantum circuit on an expanding tree geometry and find that for certain classes of gates, applied identically at each node, a binary tree circuit encodes a single logical qubit with code distance

A Novel Error Correction Mechanism for Energy-Efficient Cyber-Physical Systems in Smart Building
Smart building is an effective solution to address the issue of energy consumption in today's cyber-physical systems (CPSs) connected world. As an important tool to collect information from a fleet of electric appliance that installed in the building ...

Upper Bounds on the BER Performance of MTCM-STBC Schemes over Shadowed Rician Fading Channels
Space-time block coding (STBC) provides substantial diversity advantages with a low decoding complexity. However, these codes are not designed to achieve coding gains. Outer codes should be concatenated with STBC to provide additional coding gain.

Near-Hashing-Bound Multiple-Rate Quantum Turbo Short-Block Codes
Quantum stabilizer codes (QSCs) suffer from a low quantum coding rate since they have to recover the quantum bits (qubits) in the face of both bit-flip and phase-flip errors. In this treatise, we conceive a low-complexity concatenated quantum turbo code (

End-to-End Error-Correcting Codes on Networks with Worst-Case Symbol Errors
The problem of coding for networks experiencing worst-case symbol errors is considered. We argue that this is a reasonable model for highly dynamic wireless network transmissions.

Serially Concatenated Turbo Codes
The paper presents a new scheme of concatenated codes, referred to as Serially Concatenated Turbo (SCT) codes. The code is constructed as the serial combinations of two turbo codes, i.e. turbo Recursive Systematic Convolutional (RSC) codes and turbo Bose Ray Chaudhuri Hocquenghem (BCH) codes, linked by a pseudo-random interleaver.
