Direction of impact for explainable risk assessment modeling

open access: yesRisk Analysis, EarlyView.
Abstract Several graphical indicators have been recently introduced to help analysts visualize the marginal effects of inputs in complex models. The insights derived from such tools may help decision‐makers and risk analysts in designing interventions. However, we know little about the adequacy and consistency of different indicators.

Whole genome shotgun phylogenomics resolve the diving beetle tree of life

open access: yesSystematic Entomology, EarlyView.
A new and strongly supported phylogeny of diving beetles (Dytiscidae) is presented using the largest genomic dataset to date. Laccophilinae and Coptotominae + Lancetinae are early diverging lineages excluded from a large monophyletic clade comprising the remaining eight subfamilies. We identify seven remaining problems in the backbone of the phylogeny,

Electrophysiological characterization of pre‐adolescents born with intrauterine growth restriction: insights from clinical and computational data

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Depolarization and repolarization duration analysis was conducted in preadolescent groups with IUGR and controls using a 12‐lead ECG. Principal component analysis was applied over the 12‐lead ECGs to generate spatially transformed leads better suited for robust ECG fiducial points detection.

Deep learning‐based high‐throughput detection of flowered maize (Zea mays L.) plots from UAS imagery across environments

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 8, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract Flowering time is a critical phenological trait in maize (Zea mays L.) breeding programs. Traditional measurements for assessing flowering time involve semi‐subjective and labor‐intensive manual observation, limiting the scale and efficiency of genetics and breeding improvement.

A Literature Review of Textual Cyber Abuse Detection Using Cutting‐Edge Natural Language Processing Techniques: Language Models and Large Language Models

open access: yesWIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Volume 15, Issue 3, September 2025.
Summary of the methodology and sequential steps conducted during the review. ABSTRACT The success of social media platforms has facilitated the emergence of various forms of online abuse within digital communities. This abuse manifests in multiple ways, including hate speech, cyberbullying, emotional abuse, grooming, and shame sexting or sextortion. In
