ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

The Influence of Concentration Liquid Waste of Tofu Production to Daphnia SP Cultivation Biomass [PDF]
A natural feed of freshwater fish as long as it depends on worms tubifex is hard to be cultivated. Daphnia sp is one of the kinds of Cladocera zooplankton to be an alternative as a natural feed for seed of fish.

Eigenfunction concentration via geodesic beams [PDF]
In this article we develop new techniques for studying concentration of Laplace eigenfunctions $\phi_\lambda$ as their frequency, $\lambda$, grows. The method consists of controlling $\phi_\lambda(x)$ by decomposing $\phi_\lambda$ into a superposition of

Concentration inequalities for sampling without replacement [PDF]
Concentration inequalities quantify the deviation of a random variable from a fixed value. In spite of numerous applications, such as opinion surveys or ecological counting procedures, few concentration results are known for the setting of sampling ...

ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

A microlocal approach to eigenfunction concentration [PDF]
We describe a new approach to understanding averages of high energy Laplace eigenfunctions, $u_h$, over submanifolds, $$ \Big|\int _H u_hd\sigma_H\Big| $$ where $H\subset M$ is a submanifold and $\sigma_H$ the induced by the Riemannian metric on $M ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Alternatives to Improve Mosquito Eradication Behavior: A Systematic Review
Background: Mosquito-Borne Diseases (MBDs) are still a health problem faced, especially in developing countries. Reducing the number of mosquitoes can be done by breaking the reproduction chain by getting rid of places that become nests.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
