The Dynamics of Changing Seller Concentration

The Journal of Industrial Economics, 1980
SELLER concentration-the market share of the largest n firms-is a normatively important summary statistic taken from the upper tail of the size distribution of an industry's firms.' In this paper we report an attempt to expose the dynamic process by which disturbances affect seller concentration.

Postmortem Changes in Blood Amitriptyline Concentration

The American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology, 1994
Detailed toxicological studies were undertaken on two suicides by amitriptyline overdose, one with salicylate also. In the first case, 10 initial blood samples taken 21 h after body discovery and an estimated 28 1/2 h after overdose had drug concentration (mg/L) ranges of 2.5-12 for amitriptyline (AM), 0.7-3.1 for nortriptyline (NOR), and 81-244 for ...

Changes of Magnesium Concentrations in Endurance Athletes

International Journal of Sports Medicine, 1990
Erythrocitary and serum magnesium (Mg) were determined in a group of 11 well-trained athletes before and after a 25-km running race, and in a group of 30 sedentary controls. The significant increase of mean erythrocitary Mg (EMg) concentration observed in the athletes after physical strain (2.58 +/- 0.34 mEq/l before, 3.10 +/- 0.45 mEq/l after the race:

Concentration changes in an aerosol

Chemical Engineering Science, 1957
Abstract Optical methods have been developed for measuring particle size and concentration in an aerosol. In a small sample of monodisperse aerosol, the concentration of particles has been measured as a function of vertical position and time, and the results have been used to verify the differential equation defining the concentration distribution in

Changing Concentrations of Older Americans

Geographical Review, 1978
The spatial distribution of persons aged 65 and older in the United States is examined for 1950 and 1970. A descriptive analysis is undertaken of maps depicting the county concentration of elderly people relative to total country population. The national pattern of local concentration is found to vary considerably between the two time periods.

Perinatal Changes in Hemoglobin Concentration in Rats

1990
During experiments on oxygen availability in fetal rats using pulse oximetry as presented by Wijkstra et al.(1989), we were struck by the low total hemoglobin concentration (cHb) in the fetal blood. Since hemoglobin serves as the main oxygen carrier, the course of cHb during fetal life should be investigated before using the rat as an animal model in ...
