Adaptable Covalent Organic Framework‐Hydrogel Microneedles for Glucose‐Responsive Isoliquiritigenin Delivery in Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Natural Biomaterials for Osteochondral Repair: From Source to Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Biological origin‐guided overview of natural biomaterials and therapeutic strategies for osteochondral tissue engineering. The circular diagram categorizes representative materials and strategies into plant/algae‐derived, microbial‐derived, animal‐derived, and human‐derived sources, centered on an osteochondral defect repair model.

Engineered AuNPs/fMWCNT Nanocomposite Electrodes for High‐Sensitivity Methylglyoxal Sensing in Saliva and Sweat for Non‐Invasive Diabetes Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An AuNPs/fMWCNT nanocomposite‐modified screen‐printed carbon electrode was engineered via sequential electrodeposition and integrated into a 3D‐printed microfluidic platform for ultrasensitive methylglyoxal detection. The non‐invasive sensing platform enables rapid analysis in saliva and sweat, highlighting strong potential for wearable point‐of‐care ...

OECD imports : diversification of suppliers and quality search [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper explores the evolution of OECD imports over time, measuring their concentration across origin countries at the product level. The authors find evidence of diversification followed, in the very last years of the sample period (post-2000), by a ...

Gardiquimod Nanoemulsion Targets Cutaneous Leishmaniasis Lesions Reducing Systemic Toxicity and Parasite Burden

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoemulsion delivery of a TLR7 agonist enhances safety and promotes colocalization with Leishmania‐infected macrophages in skin lesions, enabling a ∼2‐log reduction in parasite burden. However, tissue‐level constraints and TLR‐driven regulatory feedback generate a mixed immune response that limits complete parasite clearance.

Predicting NOM (Natural Organic Matter) concentration in a drinking water resource: Lake Mälaren

open access: yes
Natural Organic Matter (NOM) poses increasing challenges for drinking water management, particularly in lakes impacted by both climate variability and land-use change. This study investigates NOM dynamics in lake Mälaren, Sweden, by analysing long-term trends in Total Organic Carbon (TOC), absorbance at 420 nm, and colour, across inflowing rivers and ...
