Casimir Forces between Spherical Particles in a Critical Fluid and Conformal Invariance
Mesoscopic particles immersed in a critical fluid experience long-range Casimir forces due to critical fluctuations. Using field theoretical methods, we investigate the Casimir interaction between two spherical particles and between a single particle and

Is it possible to establish reference values for ankle muscle isokinetic strength? A meta-analytical study [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The importance of measuring ankle muscle strength (AMS) has been demonstrated in a variety of clinical areas. Much data has been accumulated using the Cybex Norm isokinetic dynamometer but a uniform framework does not exist.

Modeling the boundaries of the working space of a planar three-link manipulator [PDF]
A study of the boundaries of the working space of a three-link planar manipulator, specified by analytical equations, is carried out. A new geometric interpretation of these samples is proposed. On its basis, it is established that outer space consists

Green wedges:origins and development in Britain [PDF]
The paper analyzes the history of green wedges in Britain from their origins in the first decade of the twentieth century up until the outbreak of the Second World War. Often neglected by the literature in favour of the 'greenbelt', the 'green wedge' was

SPACE STATION SOLAR CONCENTRATOR MATERIALS RESEARCH [PDF]
The Space Station will represent the first time that a solar dynamic power system will be used to generate electrical power in space. In a system such as this, sunlight is collected and focused by a solar concentrator onto the receiver of a heat engine which converts the energy into electricity.

Three‐dimensional Antimony Sulfide Based Flat Optics
This work presents the development of a grayscale electron beam lithography (g‐EBL) method for fabricating antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) nanostructures with customizable 3D profiles. The refractive index of g‐EBL patterned Sb2S3 is determined based on the synergy of genetic algorithm and transfer matrix method.
