Representing a concept lattice by a graph

open access: yesDiscrete Applied Mathematics, 2004
Concept lattices (also called Galois lattices) are an ordering of the maximal rectangles defined by a binary relation. In this paper, we present a new relationship between lattices and graphs: given a binary relation R, we define an underlying graph G_R, and establish a one-to-one correspondence between the set of elements of the concept lattice of R ...

Terrorist threat assessment with formal concept analysis. [PDF]

open access: yes
The National Police Service Agency of the Netherlands developed a model to classify (potential) jihadists in four sequential phases of radicalism. The goal of the model is to signal the potential jihadist as early as possible to prevent him or her to ...

L-Fuzzy Sets and Isomorphic Lattices: Are All the “New” Results Really New? †

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
We review several generalizations of the concept of fuzzy sets with two- or three-dimensional lattices of truth values and study their relationship. It turns out that, in the two-dimensional case, several of the lattices of truth values considered here ...

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.

Representation of Fuzzy Concept Lattices in the Framework of Classical FCA

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We describe a representation of the fuzzy concept lattices, defined via antitone Galois connections, within the framework of classical Formal Concept Analysis. As it is shown, all needed information is explicitly contained in a given formal fuzzy context

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

A Geometrical Heuristic for Drawing Concept Lattices

open access: yes, 1995
Concept lattices are used in formal concept analysis to represent data conceptually so that the original data are still recognizable. Their line diagrams should reflect the semantical relationships within the data.

Stable Topology on Ideals for Residuated Lattices

open access: yesTransactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems
Residuated lattices are the major algebraic counterpart of logics without contraction rule, as they are more generalized logic systems including important classes of algebras such as Boolean algebras, MV-algebras, BL-algebras, Stonean residuated lattices,

Tailoring Functional Properties of Ti–Ni–Cu Shape Memory Alloy Thin Films for MEMS Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A comprehensive study of critical parameters required to develop well‐performing Ti–Ni–Cu thin film shape memory alloy microactuators is provided. Materials science and device integration aspects are integrated by addressing structural and physical relationships using complementary characterization techniques as well as a practical fabrication solution
