Characterizing Image Sets Using Formal Concept Analysis

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2005
This article presents a new method for supervised image classification. Given a finite number of image sets, each set corresponding to a place of an environment, we propose a localization strategy, which relies upon supervised classification.

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Partial Residuated Implications Induced by Partial Triangular Norms and Partial Residuated Lattices

open access: yesAxioms, 2023
This paper reveals some relations between fuzzy logic and quantum logic on partial residuated implications (PRIs) induced by partial t-norms as well as proposes partial residuated monoids (PRMs) and partial residuated lattices (PRLs) by defining partial ...

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Characterization of image sets: the Galois Lattice approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This paper presents a new method for supervised image classification. One or several landmarks are attached to each class, with the intention of characterizing it and discriminating it from the other classes.

Rough sets based on fuzzy ideals in distributive lattices

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
In this paper, we present a rough set model based on fuzzy ideals of distributive lattices. In fact, we consider a distributive lattice as a universal set and we apply the concept of a fuzzy ideal for definitions of the lower and upper approximations in ...

Enhancing Strength and Electrical Conductivity in Al–Zr–Sc Conductor Alloys Through Sn and Sr Microalloying and Two‐Step Aging Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Trace additions of Sn and Sr combined with a two‐step aging treatment are shown to enhance the microstructure and performance of Al–Zr–Sc conductor alloys. Strength and electrical conductivity increase concurrently through accelerated precipitation of fine Al3(Sc, Zr) precipitates and improved dislocation resistance, offering a cost‐effective pathway ...

Interpretation of Fuzzy Attribute Subsets in Generalized One-Sided Concept Lattices

open access: yesJournal of Information and Organizational Sciences, 2013
In this paper we describe possible interpretation and reduction of fuzzy attributes in GeneralizedOne-sided Concept Lattices (GOSCL). This type of concept lattices represent generalization ofFormal Concept Analysis (FCA) suitable for analysis of ...

Congruences and Trajectories in Planar Semimodular Lattices

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications, 2018
A 1955 result of J. Jakubík states that for the prime intervals p and q of a finite lattice, con(p) ≥ con(q) iff p is congruence-projective to q (via intervals of arbitrary size).

All-optical switching at the two-photon limit with interference-localized states

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
We propose a single-photon-by-single-photon all-optical switch concept based on interference-localized states on lattices and their delocalization by interaction.
